Building Digital Tools forModern Makers

We're a software company born from a simple belief: technology should make craftsmanship better, not replace it.

What started as a lifestyle blog documenting our journey became something bigger—a mission to revolutionize how makers work. Today, Odyssey Mercantile creates innovative tools that help thousands save time, reduce waste, and focus on what they love: creating.

From Blog to Business

In 2018, Brian and Conor Hanrahan started Odyssey Mercantile as a lifestyle blog. We documented our travels, shared culinary discoveries, and celebrated craftsmanship wherever we found it.

But something kept pulling us back to the workshops. We met master craftsmen using centuries-old techniques alongside smartphones. We saw the gap between traditional craftsmanship and modern technology.

In 2024, we pivoted. Odyssey Mercantile became a software company with a clear mission: build technology that respects tradition while embracing innovation.

Today, we're proud to introduce our first product: CRAFT—an AI assistant that speaks fluent shopworking.
